Returns and Cancellations

Overview

This policy explains how cancellations and returns are handled for vehicle purchases from Prestige and Performance Cars. It should be read with our Terms and Conditions. Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights.

Showroom Purchases

If you inspect and buy a vehicle in person, there is usually no automatic right to cancel simply because you change your mind. Your legal rights still apply if the vehicle is not as described, not of satisfactory quality, or not fit for purpose, taking account of its age, mileage, price, history, and condition.

Distance Purchases

If a consumer purchase is completed wholly at distance, without face-to-face contact before the contract is made, cancellation rights may apply under distance selling rules. In those cases, you should tell us in writing that you wish to cancel within 14 days of receiving the vehicle.

Returning a Vehicle After Cancellation

Where a valid distance cancellation applies, the vehicle must be returned promptly, with keys, documents, accessories, and any items supplied with it. You are responsible for taking reasonable care of the vehicle while it is in your possession. We may make deductions where permitted by law if the vehicle has been used beyond what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics, and functioning, or if it is damaged.

Faults and Repairs

If you believe there is a fault, stop using the vehicle where continued use could cause damage or safety risk, and contact us promptly. We may need to inspect the vehicle and review diagnostic evidence before agreeing the appropriate remedy.
